All about Haytime - Heroes at a glance

What is possible with the feeder control?

1.) Control of motors (tubular motors) with limit switches

The control element "HAYTIME HERO" helps you to control your feeder in a user-friendly way. It ensures that the installed motors move to the desired extent and at the right times.

2.) Convenient and easy control via app

Changes in the herd, the start of the grazing season, or the transition to the winter months require an adjustment of feeding times. Thanks to wireless control via app with all common smartphones, adjusting individual feeding times is quick and easy. No internet connection is needed at the hay feeder. The HAYTIME control unit creates its own WLAN hotspot to access its data.

3.) Each feeder side can be controlled individually.

Do you have two groups or is one horse standing alone next to the herd for acclimatization? No problem – you don't need a second hay feeder. With the HAYTIME control, up to four sides can be controlled independently. This way, all groups or horses can be provided with their feed ration individually according to their needs.

4.) Minute-accurate time setting.

Standard timers have the disadvantage that time windows can often only be set in quarter-hour or even half-hour intervals. For sensitive horses, this is often too imprecise. For this reason, with the HAYTIME control, the desired feeding duration can be set to the minute. Whether it's 63, 76, or even 120 minutes.

5.) Acoustic pre-warning before the side closes or opens.

The unexpected frightens horses – it's in their nature. So it can happen that more timid horses temporarily shy away when feeding time is over and the feeder side closes. To prevent this, a short signal sounds about 5 seconds before the closing process. This lets the horses know that the feeder is now closing. Similarly, this signal sounds five seconds before opening, so the horses also know that feeding time at the hay feeder is now beginning.

6.) Simplified interval mode for quick setting of desired feeding times or setting by time?

Do you want to set the opening times of the feed feeder differently during the day than, for example, at night? Then setting by time is the right choice. Up to 20 feeding times can be set to the minute, e.g., at 6:30 PM it should open for 55 minutes. By checking the small box before the time, this time window can be easily activated or deactivated without having to change the time.

The second option would be the simplified interval mode. This can be used if the opening and closing times are always the same throughout the day. Thus, only 2 times need to be entered. Once the duration of the opening time and once the duration of the closing time. These two times then alternate repeatedly in an interval. This way, the feeding and resting times are set to the second for your hay feeder. An example would be: two hours closed and one hour open.

7.) Manual closing and opening of the feeder via app or manual switch.

The dentist is coming to your horse and it shouldn't eat hay for two hours afterwards? Easily implementable with the HAYTIME control. A time span can be entered via the app, for how long the feeder should be manually closed until it switches back to automatic mode. After the chosen 120 minutes have ended, the feeder returns to automatic mode. Depending on the set feeding times, the feeder will now open again or remain closed if the horses are currently on a feeding break.

Don't you have your smartphone with you and still want to manually close or open the hay feeder? By connecting a manual switch, the feeder can also be operated manually. In this case, the feeder remains in manual mode until the manual switch is set back to "Automatic".
